ABOUT THE THEATRE
State Puppet Theatre – Ruse has been creating puppet art for the young spectators for 60 years. In 1955 the theatre started as a self-employed team, and later in 1960 it was awarded the status of State Theatre. The theatre is located in the town of Ruse-one of the emblematic cities in Bulgaria. The town is called “Little Vienna” because of its exceptionally European architecture and cultural life. The theatre is located next to the Danube River. The building is a monument of culture built by Midhat Eshref (Pasha), in the distant 1878 as a railway management.
The theater’s cast is 12 people. The theatre has its own atelier, which makes all puppets, costumes and props for performances. The studio employs three artists.
